Paris last year and a short selection of a few photos taking during some demonstrations. I photographed my first “Manif” in 82 in London while the nurses were marching for their rights against the Thatcher regime ! Those were the days. It feels more like a ritual in Paris, some kind of tradition inherited from May 68. I love shooting the streets though. Paris is somehow so cliche. Any snapshot end up looking like a postcard. It probably is the most difficult place of earth for a photographer to get an interesting image thanks to our piers such as Doisneau, Cartier Bresson and such.
Regardless, a good old demonstration is always a call for creative stuff even in the city of lights.
