Paris is flea market heaven, and the mother of all flea markets is Marche aux Puces de Clignancourt. Dating back to 1920 and boasting up to 3,000 stalls, this daily flea market purveys everything from jewelry, chandeliers, fabric, and paintings to musical instruments, vintage postcards, and eclectic French collections. For antique aficionados, this is pure bliss.Spent the afternoon at the marche aux puces de clignancourt on the look out for an editorial story angle. We met up with Philippe Pellerin, president of l’A.M.V who very kindly introduced us to some of the patrons of the marche Vernaison. There is so much to take in, we are going back soon for some more encounter with the locals. I love this place !

I have just completed a story on a squat located on the “place des vosges” in Paris. A day and a life of a group of bright student and highly qualified young professionals who simply cannot afford to have a “home” and pay the kind of rent that a Paris Landlord is asking for, because of lack of resource and credentials.

Char a Voile on Type 55

I cannot get over it !
This is my last portrait using Polaroid Type 55 negative. When I found out that Polaroid was going bankrupt and stopping its range of polariod film that i had been using for some 17 years, I was in sock. Purchased a few boxes and I have just shot my last sheet of type 55. I have just heard rumors though ( may be in my sexiest dreams ) that a company was going to start producing polariod black and white film again.
Please God Help!

A few words to wish everyone a very successful New Year from Paris – Let it be peaceful, productive, creative and fun for all with a special thought for our planet, the environment and those damned useless politicians.With a little postcard image taken at the Tuilerie garden this morning with my loving IPhone as I was setting up my Deardroff 8×10 camera to take a couple of Fuji film classic 100D!

So sweet to move away from Pixels and feel Old fashion. My new site is finally out for everyone to enjoy ! Feels like i have another child – Oh another Boy my Lord…
